Initial Considerations
-
Plan your install: Measure the cassette length and centerline of the viewing area. Brackets should be placed 2"–8" from each end of the cassette.
-
Weight capacity: Standard kits include two Solo 3 - 375 Flown Kit brackets, each rated for 50 lbs. If your screen weighs over 100 lbs, a third bracket is required.
-
Mounting surface: Wood screws are included for mounting into wood studs only. For other surfaces, the installer must use appropriate fasteners.
Installation
Proper bracket installation is critical to ensure a secure and long-lasting setup.
-
Mounting Location: Brackets must be secured to structural elements such as ceiling joists.
-
Fasteners: Use the included wood screws for wood substrates. For other materials, use appropriate anchors (not provided) rated for the load and compatible with the surface.
-
⚠️ Important: Do not mount into hollow drywall—this will not support the weight of the screen.

Identify the Viewing Area
Determine the vertical centerline of your desired viewing area to guide bracket placement. -
Position the Brackets
Measure the total length of the cassette. Brackets must be placed 2"–8" from each end.
Mark the minimum and maximum horizontal bracket locations accordingly. - Run the provided cable through the top plates and install the top plates to structural supports.
- Each bracket & cable is capable of supporting up to 50 lbs.
- Each bracket & cable is capable of supporting up to 50 lbs.
- Position the brackets on the cassette so that they will be in line with the hanging cables.
- Loosen the set screw in the brackets so that the cassette hook is positioned all the way down.
- Hook the cassette onto the bracket.
- Then use the 5/64'' hex key to turn the bottom screw until the cassette bottoms out on the bracket.
- Then use the 5/64'' hex key to turn the bottom screw until the cassette bottoms out on the bracket.
- Use the 3/32'' hex key to tighten the locking screw in the back of the bracket.
- Insert the cables in receptacle on top of the pin and raise the cassette to the desired height.
- Pull the cable through the grip-lock while lifting to raise the cassette.
- Press the cap on the top of the grip-lock while pushing down on the bracket to lower the cassette.
- Ensure the cassette is horizontally level by adjusting the vertical position of the brackets on the cables.
- Ensure the cassette is plumb by sliding it forward or backward on the bracket slots.
- Adjusting one side will affect the other side so fine tuning will be required between both the ends.
- Once the cassette is plumb on both ends then tighten the knurled nut onto the top of the bracket to lock the grip-lock into place.
