The Decoset is a pre-programmed keypad designed for quick and easy limit setting and rotation adjustment of your 485 screen or shade—no PC or additional hardware required. Once setup is complete, the keypad can be mounted on the wall and used as a standard control device for your 485 system.

Quick Guide: Connecting the Decoset
1. Connect to the Spike
Connect the Terminal Block to the Spike.
2. Connect the Decoset
Plug the Decoset into the RJ45 port on the Spike.
If you need a longer cable, you can use standard Cat5e cable up to 100 ft.
3. Power Up
Apply AC power to the screen.
A red LED above the RJ45 port on the Decoset will begin flashing once it's properly connected.

⚠️ : Most LV motors come with a cable terminated in a 5-position terminal block.

Once connected to the power supply, a small red LED will begin flashing above the RJ45 connector on the back of the Decoset.
⚠️ : Note: If there's no LED activity, check the low-voltage power supply and all connections.

The Decoset includes optional dry contact closure inputs on the rear of the keypad for Up, Down, and Stop control.

UP
Press to send the motor to the upper limit. -
DOWN
Press to send the motor to the lower limit. -
STOP
Press to stop any motor movement.
Hold to send the motor to the first Intermediate Position (IP) if set. -
Command Status LED
Flashes once for each button press (command sent to the motor).
Manual Jog Controls

Tap DOWN: Sends a small downward movement.

Hold DOWN: Motor will move continuously downward.

Release: Stops downward motion.

Tap UP: Sends a small upward movement.
-
Hold UP: Motor will move continuously upward.

Release: Stops upward motion.

SET UPPER
Hold to move the motor continuously up, even past the current upper limit.
Release to set the new upper limit at the current position. -
SET LOWER
Hold to move the motor continuously down, even past the current lower limit.
Release to set the new lower limit at the current position. -
REVERSE
Hold to change the direction of motor rotation.
Adjusting Screen/Shade Limits
Factory settings define the upper and lower limits. In most cases, only the lower limit needs to be adjusted.
Set a new, higher lower limit

Press DOWN to move the screen to its current lower limit.

Hold UP to raise it to the desired position.
(You can also use manual jog controls.) -
Hold SET LOWER until the status LED flashes twice, then release.
→ The new position is now saved as the lower limit.
Set a new, lower lower limit

Press DOWN to move to the current lower limit.
-
Hold SET LOWER and allow the screen to move to the new lower position.

Release the button to set the new lower limit.
Change Motor Rotation (if needed)
Rotation is preset at the factory and usually doesn’t need adjustment. Only use this step if instructed by support.

Hold the REVERSE button until the command LED flashes once, then release.

Repeat the step 2 more times.

After the 3rd press, the motor rotation will reverse.
DecoSet Configuration for End User Control
💡: When all limit settings have been completed you can mechanically configure the keypad for control only mode.
⚠️ : Never permanently install the Decoset with 3 setting (Black) buttons in place.
Step 1
Using a thin flathead screwdriver, press in the 4 tabs located along the sides of the base unit to remove the 8-button Decora insert.
Step 2
Remove the 3 black setting buttons from the base.
→ Store these buttons in the Decoset box for future configuration use.
Step 3
Place the 5-button Decora insert onto the base, ensuring all 4 side tabs snap into place securely.
Step 4
The Decoset is now ready to be installed in a standard 1-gang wall box.
→ Finish with the included white trim for a clean, permanent installation.
Using on Factory Reset Motors
- Decoset keypad can be used with a motor that has been factory reset to set the initial limits and rotation.
- By using the Set Upper button, to move the motor up and the Set Lower button to move the motor down, you can create the initial limits.
Adjusting the Movement Buttons
Buttons 7 (Down Arrow) and 8 (Up Arrow) on the Decoset keypad can be customized using the USB Programming Kit or TRO.Y.

By default, these buttons are set to 20 pulses.

You can modify this setting to better suit your application.

Important:
⚠️ : When adjusting Buttons 7 and 8, do not modify settings for Buttons 3–5. Changing these will permanently disable the ability to set screen/shade limits using this keypad.
