⚠️ : The fixture controlled by the Zigbee In-Wall Smart Switch must not exceed 960W incandescent, 1800W (15A) resistive or 1/2HP motor. The switch is designed only for use with permanently installed fixtures.

Wiring Requirements
Installs with screw terminals. Needs connections for line (hot), load, neutral, and ground.
Note: A traveler wire is required for 3-way or 4-way installations.
⚠️ : Turn OFF the power to the branch circuit for the outlet at the service panel. All wiring connections must be made with the POWER OFF to avoid personal injury and/or damage to the outlet.
Installation Instructions:
- Shut off power to the circuit at circuit breaker or fuse box.

Remove the wall plate.

Remove the outlet mounting screws.

Disconnect the wires from the existing outlet.
- Label wires according to the previous terminal connections.

There are three screw terminals on the Zigbee Smart Light Switch; these are marked a.
- LINE (hot) — Black (connected to power)
- NEUTRAL — White
- GROUND — Green/bare Match these screw terminals to the wires connected to the existing outlet.

Wiring Guidelines

Wire Strip Length: Always strip wires to the recommended length of 5/8 in. (16 mm) before making connections.

Screw Terminal Torque: Tighten terminal screws to 14 kgf-cm (12 lbf-in) as specified by UL.

Wire Type: This device is designed for copper wire only.
⚠️ If you have aluminum wiring, consult a qualified electrician. -
Wire Gauge: Use 14 AWG or larger wires rated for at least 80°C for line (hot), neutral, ground, and traveler connections.

Basic Operation
You can control the connected device in two ways:

Manually using the front panel rocker switch

Remotely using a Zigbee controller
Manual Control (Rocker Switch)

Turn ON: Press the top of the rocker switch

Turn OFF: Press the bottom of the rocker switch
LED Indicator Light
The LED below the switch functions as a guide light or status indicator.
To cycle through LED modes: Press UP 3 times, then DOWN once quickly.
LED Modes:

Default: LED ON when the load is OFF (acts as a night light)

LED ON when the load is ON (shows switch is active)

LED always OFF
Wiring Instructions
⚠️ Important: This switch is for copper wire only. If you have aluminum wiring, consult a licensed electrician.

Ground: Connect the green or bare copper wire to the GROUND terminal.
-
Load/Line: Connect the black wire from the light to either LINE/LOAD terminal.

Connect the black wire from the electrical panel (hot) to the other LINE/LOAD terminal.

Neutral: Connect the white wire to the NEUTRAL terminal (use a jumper wire if necessary).

Traveler Terminal: Only used for 3-way or 4-way installations. Leave unconnected in a 2-way setup (one switch & one load).

Carefully insert the switch into the electrical box — avoid pinching or crushing wires.

Mount the switch vertically, using the provided screws.
-
Attach a decorative wallplate (not included).
-
Restore power at the fuse box or circuit breaker and test the switch.
Changing Paddle Color:
💡: Before installation, you may want to change the color of the paddle to match your wallplate or décor. 1. Push side tabs in on one side and then the other to release paddle. Lift the cover up and off. 2. Simply put the new paddle onto the switch by inserting the side tabs and snapping securely into place.

⚠️ : The icon for the Smart Light Switch is a lightbulb. Do not Delete it.
Before You Start:
Place all Smart Light Switches on a table or in the same room as your LinkPro Z or TaHoma Gateway, keeping them at least 7 meters (23 ft) away from the gateway.
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Power On One Switch at a Time
Have a licensed electrician temporarily power each Smart Light Switch, one at a time. -
Open the TaHoma App
Go to the Products menu and select Add Zigbee Device. -
Scan the QR Code
Use your phone to scan the QR code found on the bottom of the switch or on the box. -
Name the Switch
Choose a name in the app.-
💡 This name will be used for voice control and in the app interface.

Power Off and Install
Once paired, the electrician can disconnect power and install the switch in its final location. -
Repeat
Repeat steps 1–5 for each additional Smart Light Switch until all are paired.
Remove and reset the device from the Zigbee Network:
- From your TaHoma app, choose to remove or delete the Smart Light Switch as instructed.
- The Smart Light Switch will be removed from the Zigbee network following indication from the app.
- All configuration parameters will be reset after the Smart Light Switch is removed from the network.
Factory Reset:
- Press the ON button quickly 10 times.
⚠️ : This should only be used in the event your network’s primary controller is missing or otherwise inoperable.
