⚠️ Note:The diagram below shows a setup with four connected shades.
Rack Mounting:
Kratos can be mounted in various ways using these 10 screw hole locations.
⚠️ Note: Kratos, Janus, TRO.Y all share the same mounting features and accessories. There are infinite ways to install them together or separately.
Using Universal Rack Ear:
- The symmetrical hole pattern of the Kratos Universal Rack Ear allows these multi-functional Brackets to be mounted on either side of Kratos in any orientation.
- This makes it possible to mount Kratos to virtually any surface in multiple positions.
Half Rack:
- Kratos can be mounted in a standard half rack using 2 Universal Rack Ears.
Full Rack (Single Kratos Unit):
- A single Kratos unit can be mounted in a standard 19” rack using one Universal Rack Ear and one Long Rack Ear
Full Rack (Two Kratos Units):
- Two Kratos units can be coupled together and mounted in a standard 19” rack. Follow the steps on the following spread for installation.
-
Mount the DIN Rail:
Use two (2) included DIN Rail screws to install the DIN Rail onto the first Kratos unit. -
Attach DIN Rail Brackets:
On the second Kratos unit, install the two DIN Rail brackets using three (3) Rack Ear screws per bracket (included). -
Join the Kratos Units:
Hold both Janus units together and slide the DIN Rail through the brackets.
Use the included 1.5 mm hex tool to tighten the set screws on both brackets. -
Install the Fascia:
Slide the Rack Mount Fascia over the exposed DIN Rail bracket on the front of the combined unit.
Secure it with two Rack Ear screws—one at the top and one at the bottom. -
Secure the Rack Ears:
Attach one Rack Ear to each Kratos unit using three (3) Rack Ear screws per ear.
Din Rail Mounting:
- Kratos is available in both plenum and non-plenum options.
- If mounting in a plenum air space, ensure you have purchased one of the plenum rated Kratos kits.
- Kratos can be mounted in various ways using 10 screw hole locations.
Using Universal DIN Rail Bracket:
- Similar to the Universal Rack Ear, the Kratos Universal DIN Rail Bracket features a symmetrical hole pattern which provides 10 total mounting locations on Kratos.
- Each Universal DIN Rail Bracket has multiple threaded holes which accommodate set screws to lock the Brackets in place along the DIN Rail.
- Using the Universal DIN Rail Brackets Kratos can be mounted in a variety of orientations and locations.
- The Universal DIN Rail Brackets are designed for TS-35 ‘Top Hat’ DIN Mounting Rail and can be mounted on the bottom or either side of Kratos.
Structured Wiring Box Mounting:
Kratos can be installed in nearly any structured wiring enclosure using either the Universal Rack Ears or the Universal DIN Rail Brackets. These enclosures offer a clean, organized, and professional solution for managing wiring and mounting support devices like power supplies.
💡: For a fully integrated setup, use one of the Jopplin Kits to complete your mounting solution.
Depending on the Jopplin Kit selected:
-
Install up to 2 or 4 Suite XVI units—or a combination of Kratos, Janus and Suite XVI units—into the Stack Mount brackets and shovels.
-
Assemble the top and bottom Power Supply brackets, then insert up to 2 or 4 Power Supplies.
-
Route the power supply cables from the 2 or 4 power supplies to the corresponding units installed in the Stack Mount.
